Just something I whipped up the other day.
I tore some pages out of a secondhand book on music history I picked up for just such a purpose many years ago, and over-stamped and sponged them in Cherry Cobbler ink to tie the layers together.
The beauty of using layers like this is that you can use them to hide mistakes, like the one you can't see here - in the original design, two hearts (punched out of the book pages) were stuck directly to the gray layer. However, the paper was pretty flimsy and once the glue was on them they pretty much decided what they were going to do, and it wasn't what I wanted LOL. Naturally, this was after everything had already been stuck down (you'd think I would have learned by now) so another layer of paper and some red punched hearts instead and ... here you are!
