Pretty in Pink - and Gray

I was cruising Pinterest the other night,  specifically looking for inspiration for my new Everything Eleanor set (love those flowers - they're a little fiddly to cut out but totally worth it) and stumbled across this card.   I've always been a sucker for the pink/gray combination and liked the simplicity of the original so had a go at my own interpretation.

Okay, so my interpretation is pretty much the same.  Sorry, I was out of ideas that night :-)  I did add a cute little pearl as the dot on the "i", though.  That counts, right?

For a change

... yes, for a, change more butterflies.  Did you ever notice just how much I like my Beautiful Wings Embosslit and Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die?  A quick click on either of those links should give you some idea.  So much so that when I worked on the Stampin' Up! stand at Picture to Page recently, my contribution was a poster full of butterfly cards.  Many of them I have posted here in the past, but I made a few new ones to replace those I have given away over the last couple of years.

Here's the first one, and for a wonder, there is not a skerrick of pink to be seen on this one - I know - how did this happen?!

I can't even tell you the story behind this - I just wanted to use my Framelits and emboss them, and things just kind of went on from there.  Yes, I know it needs a greeting, but that can wait until I decide what it's for :-)

Need some Mojo?

I stumbled across Mojo Monday the other day ... why has it taken me so long to find this site?  (probably because the Internet is ... well ... pretty darned big).  It is what I have been needing to give me a bit of a kick start in the creativity department.

Here's my take on their Challenge # 235 ... yes, I know I'm too late to enter the contest, but it doesn't stop me using the sketch as inspiration!

I borrowed the colour scheme from ColourQ (except I forgot the Early Espresso and used Basic Black for the greeting).

Here's a closeup of the flower (from the Hostess Set "Array of Sunshine" - love it!).

Just a quick card I made recently, with no particular story behind it.  I just wanted to use Baja Breeze and Soft Suede because I'd seen a pretty card using those colours,

It was looking a little "unfinished" until my friend suggested I use a little of her Seam Binding Ribbon - and it turned out that was exactly what the card needed.  This stuff is really soft and drapes beautifully - and as you can see, makes a very neat knot!

Those Colours Again

Last time I showed you a card made with a somewhat eye-popping colour combination ... well, I didn't stop with just one, oh no, not me.

How do you like this?

Again I have used Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso but aside from the greeting, there is no stamping involved - I just let the cardstock and my awesome new Fun Flowers Bigz L Die do the work for me.

The closeup here shows the detail of the new Stripes Embossing Folder, which I used on a strip of Lucky Limeade across the bottom of the card for a bit of fun.
