Summer Flowers

I'm still loving this set - Summer Silhouettes - lots of scope to mix 'n' match the stamps to create your own bouquet or garden of summer flowers :-)

I ran across this card on Pinterest the other night and knew I had to try my hand at something similar.

Here's my version.  More Crumb-Cake-y, less Sahara-Sand-y, but you can see the inspiration.

The scalloped border was created by trimming a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the Large Scallop Edgelits, and then carefully positioning the Delicate Designs embossing folder so that only part of the design was embossed.  I felt that the whole border pattern would be a little too overwhelming on an otherwise simple design.

And here's a closeup of that scalloped border:

No greeting yet - once I've decided just what occasion it's for, I'll sort that out :-)

Sale-A-Bration 2013!

Yay!  It's that time of year again!  Sale-A-Bration!!

For the next two months (January 22 through to March 22) you can earn FREE stamp sets and accessories with every $100 spent on catalogue merchandise.

And because Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 25th year of providing top quality stamping and scrapbooking supplies (well, in the States, anyway - they've only been in Australia since 2006), there are MORE Sale-A-Bration offerings for you to choose from this year.

For your stamping pleasure, there are stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, a limited edition Embossing Folder, ribbons, buttons, a punch (also available for purchase after SAB ends, but why not earn it for FREE?), a couple of My Digital Studio collections, and if none of the exclusive products appeal to you, you can choose from a small number of catalogue products instead.

You can download a PDF of the supplies on offer by clicking the above graphic or here, but I warn you - it's big, and it's sideways LOL.  Better to drop me a line and I will post one out to you.

Now, you have to remember that there are other ways to party during Sale-A-Bration.  Sure, you can place your order through me and for every $100 spent (excluding shipping) you earn one more product.  BUT, if you host a party that reaches $300 in sales, you get a FREE pack of Silver Glimmer Paper (Silver for Stampin' Up's Silver Anniversary).  If your party reaches sales of $600 or more, you get the free Glimmer Paper AND a Product Bundle of a stamp set, buttons, ribbon and designer series paper from the Sale-A-Bration collection.

And lastly, if you just can't get enough of the great stuff, and want to party all the time and not just during Sale-A-Bration, why not join the Stampin' Up! family?  Join during the SAB period and you get an additional 25% in your starter kit - that's right, choose $294 worth of products and pay only $169 - and get all the other great benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator as well!

*phew*

So to summarise:

-  Spend $100 or more and get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product for every $100 spent

-  Host a party that reaches $300 in sales and get a FREE pack of Silver Glimmer Paper plus the normal hostess benefits for that level

-  Host a party that reaches $600 and get a FREE pack of Silver Glimmer Paper PLUS a FREE Sale-A-Bration Product Bundle
plus the normal hostess benefits for that level

-  Join the Stampin' Up! family and get an additional 25% worth of product for the same low joining price

Missing in Action

Well, where have I been lately?  Mostly just at home, loafing about - and I haven't even been stamping!  I know!  This time of year I seem to find I need to take a few weeks off to recharge after making all those Christmas cards (why do I do it each year?  Sadly, it's all for the money LOL), and my mojo takes a holiday as well :-)

But I'm back.  Sort of.  I motivated myself the other night to get out a new stamp set to add the finishing touch to this card:

I've seen a few cards with this "circle-y" theme online lately, and wanted to give it a go for myself.  I like the extra dimension given by popping up and punching out a circle (shown here with the little four point flower  from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack) gives the card,

The Pool Party circles have been stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink, which in Real Life (ie. I couldn't catch the effect with the camera) seem to glow... I love using Whisper White Craft on light coloured cardstock - the effect is always interesting.

And the new stamp set?  The "Just Because" greeting from the set Vintage Verses, only available from tomorrow until March 22, and only available FREE with a $100 purchase.  Yep, it's nearly Sale-A-Bration time again... more information for you tomorrow
