Sorry, no pictures today ... I did stamp last night, but haven't had a chance to take a photo of the card I made to share with you ... stay tuned for that one *g*.
I just wanted to take a quick moment to remind you that Paperific is coming up at the end of August - Friday the 27th through to Saturday the 29th to be specific. The event is being held at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Epsom Road, Ascot Vale, and is open 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am-4pm Sunday.
This show is highly recommended for any papercraft lover, as it covers pretty much anything you can think of in that field - not only is there stamping and scrapbooking, but all the accessories you need to get the look you want. And, of course, a few Stampin' Up! demonstrators have banded together to put on a great stand as always.
Entry is $10 for adults, $8 concession, however if you drop me a line I have some passes which will get you $2 off the entry price. I only have a few, so it's first in, best dressed - email me or leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
I hope to see you at the Show!

Craft & Quilt Fair

If you missed it, here's a quick shot of Denise and Gail having a closer look at some of the gorgeous 3D items we had on display (with a big shout out to Flick who provided many of the aforementioned items). Behind them you can catch a glimpse of Angela's completely awesome punch art display
Next show - Paperific, to be held on August 27-29 at the Melbourne Showgrounds ... hope to see you there!

If you're at a bit of a loose end during the first weekend of September, and you live somewhere near the Mornington Peninsula, you could do worse than visit the Peninsula Craft Expo in Mornington and say hi to those of us working on the Stampin' Up! stand there.
The fair is being held on Saturday September 5 and Sunday September 6, from 9am till 4pm each day. Entry is only $5.00, and you will see a variety of craft retailers from the Mornington area.
You can read more about the Expo at their website here.

Dusting off the cobwebs
Okay, so it's been a while since I updated ... not as bad as some (not looking at anyone in particular but you know who you are) but still.
I have an excuse! We were busy preparing for the Craft & Quilt Fair last weekend, which went really well (hi again to everyone who came past on the Saturday evening and Sunday when I was there!).
I have yet to photograph the One Sheet Wonder display I sneak peeked a while back, which got some lovely comments during both Paperific and the Craft & Quilt Fair, but I hope to get to that this week.
In the meantime, here are some of the cards I put out for sale ... some sold, although I haven't checked to see which ones yet (but it was very exciting, as I've never made cards for sale before). Yes, I have used the One Sheet Wonder template yet again, because it is a great way of making a bunch of cards all at once - once you get the hang of it you can put the lot together in only a few hours.
This is a beautiful colour combination ... it turns out that one of the new In Colors for this year, Baja Breeze, coordinates wonderfully with Not Quite Navy, and I have rediscovered Elegant Eggplant, a dark purple which goes great with Pale Plum.

Craft & Quilt Fair - coming soon!

Of course, if you look hard enough you'll find our Stampin' Up! stand, and if you're there on the Saturday evening or Sunday you'll even find me!
We'll be doing demonstrations throughout the four days, with each demonstrator taking turns doing something different, so if you came past ever hour or two you're sure to see something new.
We will have showbags for sale containing the Idea Book & Catalogue and the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue as well (ooooh, now that'll be worth buying *g*).
We'll have some great show specials on offer.
We will, as always, have a gorgeous display of samples.
We will have cardstock and ribbon sampler packs for sale, so get in quick for these as they will go fast.
And something new for this craft show - there will be handmade cards for sale! We're excited about this *g*.
Of course, there are loads of other exhibitors at the Fair, with something for every crafter (and I hope to do a little shopping for myself while I'm there!) so swing on by. It's easy to get to either on the train or by car and close enough to the Crown complex for a lovely lunch as well.
