Retired List is now up!
As many of you are aware, the new Australia/New Zealand Stampin' Up! catalogue will be arriving soon - July 2, in fact - which means that lots of stuff has to go to make way for all the wonderful new products.
From today until July 1, the retiring products are only available while stocks last - so if you want to buy your favourites before they go for good, get in quick!
You can find the full list at my Online Store ... just click the Retiring Products link at the left hand side.
Some (but not all) products are discounted by up to 50% - the discounted price will be shown in my Online Store.
You should also be able to use the Online Store to check availability ... some products have already sold out (would you believe people sit up until after midnight to place their orders? Me neither, but it's true *shakes head in wonder*).
If you have any questions about the products which are retiring, feel free to drop me an email or give me a call.
(Don't forget, too, that you still have two weeks - until June 15 - to buy selected MDS downloads at 25% off!)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and review my supplies to see if there's anything I need to stock up on before it's all gone...

Convention recap - some photos
I'm afraid I still don't have any pretty pictures to share with you of some of the great things we made at convention in Brisbane over the past few days - I have only recently arrived home and after two loads of washing (would have been more except I ran out of room on the line!) and a home cooked meal (that I cooked myself *sigh* back to reality) it's too dark to take a decent picture. Soon, I promise.
In the meantime, I can share with you a few photos from the last few days ...
The theme for this year's convention was Be the Difference - the stage looked amazing :-)
Getting ready for one of the General Sessions ... this is a small portion of the 700-odd people who attended.
Denise having a play at the My Digital Studio™ station - there were several stations set up so that attendees could have a hands-on play with a few products (including ... shhh! ... new stuff from the upcoming catalogue!)
Felicity and her mum Jeanette.
Janine and Gail at the After Party.
Brisbane city across the river, with a full moon rising.
Me and Gail on the way home.

Hello from sunny (?) Brisbane
When I heard that this year's Stampin' Up! Convention was to be held in Brisbane this year, my first thought was that it would be nice to escape Melbourne's autumn for a little sub-tropical sunshine.
Imagine my disappointment to find this outside our window this afternoon.
(Not the best view, but it's a little better than the backpacker's hostel directly opposite).
It is overcast and drizzling. Yesterday was lovely, though, and I have to admit that at least it isn't particularly cold.
So far we have had two full days of classes and general sessions, as well as a Make and Take session using some of the products which will soon be available in the 2013-14 Annual Catalogue. Tonight is the Awards Presentation and After Party, and tomorrow there is another full day of classes before we finish up for another year. I have plans to post some pictures - while I am not permitted to show pictures of actual products, I can share photos of things I have made with the new goodies :-) ... I just keep forgetting to take blog-worthy shots!
Don't forget the new catalogue will be out on July 2 (yes, the second) - but even more importantly, the Retirement List will be live from next Friday,May 31 - watch this space for more information!

Little brown birdie...
This card came about because I had a stray scrap of Pool Party cardstock in my paper stash which I had stamped and distressed and then decided not to use. While it wasn't right for the original project (which I posted the other day), it was exactly what I needed to go with this Very Vanilla/Crumb Cake combination.

Clockworks
Continuing my love affair with Pool Party ... another card which started life at SERS the other day, hence the limited colour palette. I only took a few inkpads with me, so once I'd stamped the focal image and the strip of Wisteria Wonder, the whole thing ground to a halt. Luckily I finished it off at home, once I got back to my Big Shot (I knew going to a craft afternoon without it was a bad idea). Love that Chevron embossing folder!

25% off Selected MDS Products!
If you haven't tried digital scrapbooking yet, what's keeping you? Is it the cost? Well, from now until June 15, you can get 25% off selected digital downloads over at my Online Shop.
And remember that the MDS Free Trial is available - download the software, try it out for 30 days, and if you like it, the full version is under $25 - a bargain (it even comes with a huge range of content already included)!
It's simple enough for a beginner to jump right into digital scrapping, cardmaking, calendars and a host of other projects, but has more than enough to keep an experienced digital crafter happy for hours (I can vouch for that *sigh* ... it's addictive!). There is also a great online forum where you can find all sorts of answers in no time.

This and That
The title of this post sounds a little ... directionless, don't you think?
Well, it's not at all - This and That is the name of a new product range that Stampin' Up! are introducing with the next catalogue (not long now - release date is July 1, 2013!).
But why wait until July, when you can have a taste of the range right now?
From now until May 31, you can purchase the five This and That products in a bundle and save 15% off the regular price. If you miss out, you can still buy them in June, but not at the bundle price.
Available are a journal with printed pages, Designer Series Paper, a rotary stamp, stickers and washi tape. You can see the range at my Online Shop, or read a little more about it on my Business Web Site.

My favourite colours
Since the new Colour Refresh was announced the other week, I have been quietly rejoicing - sad though I will be to say goodbye to a couple of old favourites (Pretty in Pink or Baja Breeze, anyone), I am so glad that Pool Party is hanging around, and that Wisteria Wonder has also earned a reprieve.
Pool Party has to be one of my favourite colours at the moment - and look how well it works with Island Indigo (yes, another In Color joining the family!), Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum! I love the bluey-green and purple combination (regular readers might have guessed that).
The other day, I went out to stamp (at SERS - newcomers welcome, if you can make it to Glen Waverley on the last Saturday of each month), and was after a quick, easy project that wouldn't require me to take my entire craft room with me - and here it is:
The card was super-quick to make, as you can see - just a random stamping of the large flower and small flower trio from Betsy's Blossoms in Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder, and then the bird from the same set in Perfect Plum.
Once I decide who or what the card is for, I will add a sentiment just to the left of the bird - but for now I will just admire the pretty colours.
